Battle of Burg Hill

Presented by the Southern Guards Battalion, this Civil War re-enactment is living history!

On Fathers' Day Weekend, June19-21, history will come to life before our eyes. Beginning with the 6:00 PM Parade in downtown Gatlinburg "The Siege of Gatlinburg", followed by two days of activities at Mills Park, you'll see what it was really like. Each actor is a living historian, knowledgeable about the daily life of a soldier, equipment, amunition and weapons, cavalry, and artillery of the day. The mornings will be filled with all sorts of demonstrations and skits, including a chance to ask questions. At 2:00 PM, "canons blaze and soldiers charge!" as the Battle of Burg Hill is re-created.

Free parking at Mills Park, with shuttle service to the battle grounds. Its all FREE!
